This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process your personal information through our website (https://dojohelper.com) and mobile/desktop applications (together, the “Service”). Automatically collected information: Device identifiers, log data (IP, browser, pages visited), usage analytics, cookies, and similar technologies.

3. Purposes for which we use your information

We use your personal information to provide and improve the Service, manage your account, process payments, send notifications, provide support, analyze usage, enforce our Terms, comply with legal obligations, and (with your consent) send you marketing messages.

4. Disclosure / sharing of your information

We may share your information with service providers, affiliates, business partners, or as required by law. We may also share de-identified or aggregated data. In the case of mergers, acquisitions, or reorganizations, your information may be transferred to the new entity.

5. Data retention / how long we keep your data

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined here, including for legal and accounting obligations. When no longer needed, data will be securely deleted or anonymized.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, port your data, withdraw consent, or object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details above.

7. Cookies, tracking & third-party analytics

We use cookies and tracking technologies to personalize your experience and collect analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this may affect functionality. Third-party analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics) may collect usage data in line with their own policies.

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International users / cross-border transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries, including Australia. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers, and we will take reasonable steps to protect your data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Significant changes may also be communicated via email or in-app notifications. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance.

12. Complaints / regulatory authority

If you have concerns, please contact us. We will respond promptly. In Australia, you may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

13. Location services (App check-in feature)

The DojoHelper app may request access to your device’s location services when you use the automated check-in feature at associated dojos. Location data is used solely to verify your presence at a dojo and to record your attendance. This data is not used for continuous tracking, marketing, or profiling.

You can control location permissions at any time via your device settings. However, disabling location access may prevent automated check-in from functioning properly. Location data is processed securely and only retained as necessary to provide check-in records.
